National Brainwashing - with the help of sleep

Sleep theme year 2024

The theme for the National Brain Health Program of 2024 is sleep.

Everyone has the opportunity for refreshing and restorative sleep. The goal of the theme year is to increase the appreciation of sleep as a fundamental factor for well-being and brain health. A good night's sleep is built throughout the day. Therefore, sleep is not solely the responsibility of the individual. Now is the time to move from words to actions!

Throughout the year, we challenge everyone, both individuals and communities, to participate in the sleep campaign by taking sleep actions. We will organize various events and activities, produce blogs to support both individual and community sleep actions! We will provide all the information on these pages. Join us!

Test your own sleep and participate in the sleep campaign

With the help of an easy sleep calculator, you can identify the key components of your sleep. The sleep score calculator can be used multiple times to track the development of your own sleep!

Join the sleep campaign starting on April 2nd and choose your sleep actions. You can participate in the campaign even without taking the test. The sleep campaign lasts until the end of the year. However, you can already take the sleep score test and sign up for the campaign so that you are ready when the campaign begins!

National brainwashing - what is it?

"During sleep, the brain's waste disposal system becomes active, which is why ensuring adequate quality and quantity of sleep is at the center of brain-healthy lifestyles. Sleep cleanses the brain by removing toxins. During sleep, unnecessary elements are cleared from the brain's neural networks, while important connections are reinforced.

In addition to brain cleansing, sleep plays important roles in recovery, emotional regulation, memory functions, and other information processing functions. Good sleep is built throughout the day, so it's important to balance stress and recovery to avoid overstimulation that may disrupt falling asleep and staying asleep."
